Fire up the grill and cook up a delicious meal with these turmeric spiced shrimp! Turmeric gives the shrimp a gorgeous golden colour and offers a number of health benefits (hooray for anti-inflammatory food that tastes great!) This recipe is super simple and uses only a handful of ingredients. Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to add some heat or leave the recipe as is if spice is not your thing! Happy grilling!
Ingredients
1 lb large shrimp
1 cup coconut milk
2 teaspoons turmeric powder
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Mix coconut milk and turmeric in a large bowl. Add shrimp and let marinate for at least 10 minutes. After they have marinated, place them on skewers and salt and pepper on both sides. Place on hot grill and grill on both sides for 2-3 minutes, until shrimp are cooked through.
