Mixed Berry Barbecue Sauce

I love, love, LOVE this barbecue sauce! Flavourful and made at home with fresh ingredients, it is by far my favourite barbecue sauce! Brushed on grilled meat, it adds a nice punch of flavour that will leave you licking your fingers!




1 cup blueberries

1 cup raspberries

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1/3 cup ketchup

1/2 stick cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

3 tablespoons honey


1. Add all ingredients in a pot. With heat set to high, bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low. Allow to simmer for 20 minutes and then remove from heat. Let cool to room temperature.

2. When cooled, place sauce in a blender and puree.

3. Pass sauce through a strainer to remove raspberry seeds and to help create a smoother sauce.
