Roasted Turkey Drumsticks

Delicious, fall of the bone turkey drumsticks that are so easy to make! These turkey drumsticks take about 2 hours to make, from start to finish, but don't worry, you don't need to do much! Set them in your roaster and let your oven do the work!





Ingredients

4 turkey drumsticks

4 celery stalks, chopped into thirds

2 onions, quartered

1/2 tomato, chopped into large pieces

4 carrots, cut in half

1/2 cup olive oil

1 cinnamon stick

2 bay leafs

1 1/2 tablespoons allspice (whole, not ground)

4 cups water


Directions

1. Preheat oven at 375F. In a large roaster, place chopped celery, carrots, onions, and tomato. Place drumsticks on top and drizzle with the olive oil.

2. Add the cinnamon, bay leafs and allspice. Add 4 cups of water to the roaster and place the lid on. Roast in the oven at 375F for 30 minutes.

3. After 30 minutes, lower temperature to 350 and continue to roast for 1 hour and 20 minutes, removing the lid in the last 15 minutes.

4. Take temperature with a meat thermometer. If the turkey is cooked to an internal temperature of 180F and juices run clear, turn oven to broil for a few minutes to brown nicely.
